Out now! The debut album by Youngest Of Elders, “Nothing Is Wonderful” is streaming everywhere, and available for purchase on Bandcamp, cdbaby, iTunes, & Amazon. I had the pleasure of mixing this record, along with providing additional instrumentation for a few tracks. For fans of 90’s era shoegaze euphoria, nothing couldn’t be less wonderful!
Take a look at the official music video for “Shame Spiral” by Youngest Of Elders. For fans of Joy Division, The Cure, My Bloody Valentine…and pizza. Mixed by Duane M Ramos @ DR Studio, Los Angeles CA.
Out now is the new EP by Christian Singles “Untitled” from Vacant Stare Records, a collection of lo-fi pop jams performed by Rob I. Miller (Mall Walk, Dick Stusso). Available for purchase on Bandcamp. All proceeds will be donated directly to the Gray Area Foundation’s Fire Relief, Recovery, and Resiliency Fund for Oakland Fire and Immediate Oakland Fire Relief fund, benefiting the community affected by the Oakland Ghost Ship fire.
Many thanks to Vacant Stare Records for having me on board for mastering this EP.
Throwback to 1994 when I performed bass in the band Shining Scribes. Based in the East Bay, we released a self titled EP that was recorded and mixed by Damien Rasmussen at Dancing Dog Studios in Emeryville, and mastered by Ken Lee at Rocket Lab in San Francisco.
“Fade Away” video was directed by my brother Brad Ramos, filmed on his 8mm camera. The video had been living on a U-Matic videocassette for 20 years, until I recently had it digitally transferred. After replacing the audio from an EP CD, and some tweaks on iMovie, “Fade Away” is here to stay.
